Writer: Jules Musgrove

The LISTEN conference is returning for its second year with a 3 day program built around a central theme: Feminist Futures.

There will be panel discussions and workshops covering a whole range of topics relating to feminism and gender in the creative industries. Keynote speeches will be given by feminist activist and writer Clementine Ford (interviewed in Season One of Amateur Hour) and performer and activist Alok Vaid-Menon (Darkmatter).  A diverse and inclusive list of panelist will be discussing and debating a variety of issues affecting the creative community, including the pros and cons of ‘call out culture’, race and sexism in music, gender binaries in music and art, and much much more.

There will also be a heap of amazing bands and musicians playing, including Ouch My Face (check out their performance on Amateur Hour below!) The Pink Tiles, Wet Lips, Hi-Tec Emotions, and lots more.  It’s set to be a fun and informative event so get your tickets now!
