PEGGY GLANVILLE-HICKS RESIDENCY:
In her will, composer Peggy Glanville-Hicks bequeathed her house, a three-bedroom terrace in Sydney’s Paddington area, as a residence for composers. Since 1990, the house and residency program has been administered by the Peggy Glanville-Hicks Composers’ Trust. The Trust partners with the Australia Council to offer the residency through a competitive application process.
Funding Available: The residency is offered for the period January – December 2017. In addition to providing accommodation, they will pay $20,000 directly to the successful recipient to cover their living costs, on-costs, travel and administration for the period of their residency.

CONTEMPORARY MUSIC TOURING PROGRAM:
The Contemporary Music Touring Program (CMTP) supports national touring activity undertaken by Australian musicians performing original contemporary music. It provides travel support of up to $15,000 for artists and their manager for tours in Australia that include performances in regional and remote areas.  Up to an additional $15,000 can be requested for tours that meet the conditions for TRAX funding.
Funding Available: Up to $15,000
Important Dates: Applications close midnight Tuesday 4th October 2016, for projects starting after 1 January 2017.

PLAYING AUSTRALIA – REGIONAL PERFORMING ARTS TOURING FUND:
The Regional Performing Arts Touring program supports performing arts to reach regional and remote communities across Australia. Grants are available to support the net touring costs associated with a national tour.
Funding Available: There is no limit on the amount that can be requested.
Important Dates: Applications close Tuesday 4th October 2016, for projects starting after 1 January 2017

THE UNIFIED GRANT:
The goal of The Unified Grant is to foster the next generation of driven young creatives who want to work in music but don’t play an instrument: photographers, producers, videographers, web developers, graphic designers, journalists, app builders, data analysts and all the other disciplines that haven’t yet come into focus.
Funding Available: 5 x $5000 grants available

DAREBIN MUSIC FEAST SONGWRITERS’ AWARD:
The Darebin Music Feast Songwriters’ Award is an annual songwriting competition that seeks to recognise, showcase and promote the talents of local songwriters. Over 100 entries are received each year with finalists performing before a panel of distinguished local musicians as part of the Darebin Music Feast.
Winner Receives:  $2000 thanks to APRA, 8 hours recording time with an engineer at HeadGap, 4 hours mastering at Adam Dempsey Mastering, $500 Implant Media Voucher for CD duplication services, 1 hour song writing workshop with Push Songs facilitator Charles Jenkins, $200 Guitar World Voucher, Face the Music Conference Ticket

NAVA SAINSBURY SCULPTURE GRANT:
The Sainsbury Sculpture Grant was established in memory of Madeline Olive Taylor through her estate, to provide financial support for emerging Australian artists and groups working in sculpture and/or installation to further their professional skills. According to Madeline Olive Taylor’s wishes, selected recipients are provided with funds to undertake further study, residencies or professional development workshops either locally or internationally.
Funding available: Individual applicants can apply for up to $2,000 + GST each. Groups/collectives can apply for up to $4,000 + GST. A total of $8,000 will be awarded.
Important dates: Applications will open in July and close at 23:59 AEST Saturday 17th September 2016

NAVA VISUAL ARTS FELLOWSHIP:
The Visual Arts Fellowship is funded by the Copyright Agency and administered by NAVA, and aims to assist exceptional mid-career Australian visual and media arts, craft and design practitioners to undertake a self directed program of professional development.
Two $20,000 fellowships are open to individual mid-career artists and groups. Groups must have a demonstrated history of ongoing collaborative practice between applicants. Funding can be used toward a range of activities such as research, travel, skills development, residencies, mentorships, professional development and training, creation of new work and exhibition/ project costs.
Funding Available: Individual applicants will be awarded $20,000 + GST.
Important Dates: Applications open 10th August and close at 23:59 AEST Saturday 8th October 2016.
